Johnston county use to have a backwoods modern charm that was a community I could be proud of. Now, acres of forests are being ripped down so that cookie cutter apartments and houses can be crammed in next to one another. While, I do my best in volunteering with my community, I can't stop this urban development that is destroying the country I have know and loved since I was little.

This county has plenty to do, but also a small town charming feel. Main street has blossomed and there are activities added all the time.
Johnston County has always been home to me and it is the perfect mix of country life with a convenient half hour drive to Raleigh.
