Been in Jefferson for 11 years now and to see the growth is really amazing. I'll introduce Jackson as a small town with your mix of conservative and big personality. The housing is affordable where I stay in Jefferson but 15 minutes to Athens you get to experience the luxury of a college town by the name of Athens where the Georgia Bulldogs play and the housing is price for the college student and everyone benefits from that. Jackson is a community that holds on to some great core values and the sport scene in Jefferson is great.

I have grown up here my whole life. I have lived in the same house and grown up with the same people. While i do love it here and my heart will always now this place as where a grew up and became the person I am today, I cannot wait to move away. It is in the south so people here tend to have the moral s as you think people in the south would. It is a small town with lots of fast food places and good schools. it is a simple place that anyone could raise a family in. We are not very diverse because we are in the south but we are slowly getting there. There are lots of small business in the downtown areas. There isn't much to do if you are a tourist though so I would skip right past it.
This is a safe and good place to raise a family. The schools are good. Came from Gwinnett county. Wish there were more parks/amenities/restaurants/jobs.
