Iberia Parish Reviews

I like that they are trying to bring more buisness in my hometown.they are continuing to build up the community, however the crime rate is at an all time high. This makes me upset. Our community has so much talent and potential.
New Iberia, Louisiana is a small town. It has lots of history to it. Many people who live here today, grew up here and their family all lives here too. The atmosphere of this town, is happy, friendly, and homey. Many of the grocery stores, clothing stores, and restaurants are local businesses. There are not many chain restaurants here. Everyone in this town is very "pro-local business". The people in town are very friendly. Just in one encounter with someone, you can easily become friends and sometimes even some how be related distantly. I plan on moving to Baton Rouge next fall for college, but my plan is to come back to New Iberia when I finish school and start a family here. New Iberia is a great little town that has many great people and great aspects to it. I believe in the future there will be many more stores, advances, schools, and many other opportunities for people living here. The worst thing I can see happening to this town, is that it becomes to big. I recommend New Iberia to anyone who likes the idea of a small town and would like to have a since of community life.
There isn't much crime in New Iberia. It is a very safe place to live. Most of the small amount of crime committed is small drug charges. There is not much murder, shootings, assault, or vandalism. The police are seen quite often, almost every time I am driving around town, I see several police officers. The crime response is very fast as well. I often jog on the sidewalks through town and even at night I am not scared or ever feel unsafe. I have no concerns for New Iberia and its safety.
