Humboldt is a very beautiful area, with a lot of nice people. We have rivers, mountains, and farms. The small, more rural area beats the city life by far. There’s a lot of community gatherings, like fairs and events like that. There are a lot of local Native Americans, due to the surrounding tribal reservations. Yes, there are a few things we need to change; such as littering, drug abuse, and other such things. There is a bit of racism, but not a lot. All together, Humboldt is a wonderful place to live, and is family friendly. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
It is really beautiful. The county is huge and there are a million things to do outdoors. The people are friendly. Watch out for the 101 running though Eureka, there is a heavy drug problem there. Besides that, the place is quiet, the scenery is great and the food is delicious.
I was born and raised in Humboldt County, and the things that I love about this area is that there are so many people that you meet who are open minded and caring. There is also a lot of healthy, and local food that is easily accessible in this county.
I think there are many things that need to change in Humboldt, one of which would be the drug problem and opioid problem that has began to grow.
