Small tight-knit community feel in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Relatively low crime rate and plenty of natural beauty. The winters are long, but not long enough if you take advantage of the numerous winter activities available such as skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snowshoeing...etc. The summers can't be beat. We are surrounded by fresh water and beautiful beaches in every direction with numerous hiking areas in the local area and nearby counties.
