Hood County Reviews
Granbury is a quaint town with the feeling of a larger city. The city is based upon a lake with the tributary of the Brazos River. City population is 5500, but the county houses many lake areas making the total population in the area closer to 85000. We are pleased to have the larger chain of retailers and restaurants as a large city. Our historic downtown square is very unique and makes you feel as though you have stepped back in time to a slower more retro time. Their are no red lights and we have 16 blocks around the square are in a national historic districts. There are any family friendly events and festivals throughout the year. All in all a great place to live and raise a family.
It’s ok the lake is free to swim in but it’s kind of dirty. The taxes are pretty high forget appealing it they will not work with you. What ever they say goes in this county. The traffic is terrible most of the time on 377 if you are trying to go to work. The people who live here are nice.
