Hartford is a pretty descent city. There is a lot of diversity and amazing schools. Great education for everyone! However, safety within the county could be addressed a tad bit more. Overall it's a very nice place to live other than the taxes are a bit high.

A great small city in central Connecticut with a lot of personality and history. A great place to visit, go shopping, eat at a great restaurant, or go to a museum. The science museum is great to bring your children for a day of fun. The festivals in the summer time are also great activities for some summer fun. The city is great, but it is struggling financially. The school systems are being affected the most and although the city offers a great opportunity with its magnet schools the budget just keeps getting cut more and more each year.
Pretty much lived in Hartford County my entire life, i'm like so used to everything and most times i feel like change would be nice but overall i'm very comfortable especially around the area that i live. The cost of living here is pretty decent, especially when you have a stable job and is able to make ends meet in-between. Mostly around some parts, everyone seems to know each other to some extent especially with the population of social media sites & such. I often get home sick when i'm away for too much, but then i feel like sometimes i would rather just get away.
