My favorite thing about the city of Bridgeport is living in a community where all are welcome and treated like family. We have plenty of job opportunities, wonderful school systems, and lots of things to do. We bleed blue and gold for WVU, so if you live here being a mountaineer fan is part of the job. There is no other place in the world that as much love and appreciation for their state!

Our police officers and emergency respond teams are amazing at their jobs, the uprising conflict in the surrounding area (Clarksburg) is the drugs. Clarksburg is the overdose capitol of West Virginia, which is very concerning for families in Bridgeport and other surrounding areas. We know our police officers are doing all they can to stop this from happening.
I feel like the community could improve by offering more to do. There is not many things for teens and young adults to do, and as a result, the drug problem in the area has increased significantly. Otherwise, people from the area are generally proud of the natural beauty of our state and love the adventurous outdoors.
