We moved here a lottle over 6 months ago and it is beautiful. Does seem like there is a lot of crime with drugs but people who are doing bad dont seem to get awau with it either. The police seem on it pretty quick. Which makes my family feel safe. They habe built sp much new stores for shopping. Theres a lot of grocery stores an churches. Some places you get good experiences an others bad. I think it just depends on the people and who they are. I think they people that live here if thye dont know you they are either super friendly or alreasy judge you thinking your a druggy or going to do something wrong. Which i dont blame them, being here your whole life and seeing people come thru and destroy the community which they try so hard to make safe for their children. Just need all the drugs an bad people to leave go some place else why ruin a great community and area for everyone else.

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Greene County, Tennessee is the perfect mix of small town and rural living. There's just about every type of restaurant, store, or entertainment venue one could want, but with all the comfort and privacy of living in the country -including the animals! There are state parks only minutes away sand Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville - home of the World Famous Dollywood theme park owned by country music star Dolly Parton - is less than an hour away.

The atmosphere of Greeneville has a southern culture experience as the mountains around the area remind those who visit that the outdoors is something beautiful and peaceful.

I have considered leaving my hometown many times, especially when talking to peers all around me who may have negative comments about the area. However, knowing that I might be leaving the local area in the future
