Galveston county is an okay area that has high crime for small county. Needs better schools, roads and activities for kids to create jobs for them. Need more county involvement with the elderly and activities for them. For the city to be so close to industrial plants it's very low paying jobs but very high cost to live. Living in an are where things are so expensive but the pay does not meet the living it's time to lower the living cost or bring up the pay. People deserve to live life and be able to afford it to be happy and help the county to do better.

Friendly environment. Peaceful neighborhoods and great people. I enjoy Galveston Island alone, very great tourist attractions. You should see the blue water this summer! Galveston County has more than enough to like about it.
The city is corrupt all they care about are the vacation tourists and their money. Some of the police in this county will harass you and write you tickets for absolutely nothing illegally just to make a quota. Some of the neighborhoods are just disgusting including the people that congregate in particular areas. Ruin it for the rest of the working folks. Dont be caught in town within certain areas after dark or you could be either robbed or beat up. Overall ive seen my fair share of disgust with this island
