I have lived in Franklin country Virginia for almost 7 years. The scenery is beautiful, most of the people are lovely, the schools are very nice, and there is hardly any traffic! However, something needs to be done about the ever growing expansion of drugs and crime.

I love living in the country the mountain veiws are beautiful. Franklin county is a great place to raise a family the schools are great and the people are very friendly. It's peaceful and fun I live about 15 min from town and I'm in a great area for fishing , hiking, boating, swimming and exploring the great out doors. This area is not very congested and I'm 30 minits from Roanoke where you can find everything you need in a city like the shopping malls and stores of all kinds. The Blue Ridge parkway is very close this a road just for site seeing the area and has many places to stop and see, also has hiking trails, fishing camping, and some restaurants. Franklin County is a great place to raise a family and is peaceful happy place to live.
I really like the homey and country feeling. The mountains and the farming are all around. I enjoy living in a quaint community that pulls together to help those in need. Franklin County has both subdivisions and lots of land with distant neighbors. We have a performance center that hold concerts in town and fresh food markets. I enjoy the little communities within and how everyone works together.
