Thought it would be better for families, schools are ok but not geared towards black families. Very diverse but when holidays come around no Halloween decor or candy for the kids depending on which neighborhood you live in because other cultures don’t believe in it; same with other holidays with decor for Easter or lack of community events like egg hunts, etc. plenty of space in the communities but kids don’t play outside in these communities. Everyone stays to themselves, inside so the neighborhoods are boring. Need more outdoor events, community events, playgrounds large ones, basketball courts, volleyball nets, etc
As a current resident of Fort Bend County, the suburbs are pretty old, the community isn't very clean when it comes to it's streets, and most buildings around here are mostly eyesores due to how old and dirty they are, however, there's a few notable things about living here, before the pandemic, there used to be a ton of events to go to every weekend, mostly done in High Schools or held in local parks for those living near those areas. When it comes to diversity, there's a ton of diverse foods, drinks, and culture to experience out here, there's something new around the corner and I highly recommend trying out at least one of the restaurants while you're visiting. When it comes to safety, while there aren't a lot of crimes committed here, it's best to stay inside your home when night time arrives, there's a lot of homeless people that come out during these times.
Love the suburban neighborhood, growing shops and stores. Lots of parks and recreation areas, walking/running paths. Safe and quiet.
