I live in the city of Newark and the county of essex all my life. I am now 41 years old, my experience in my hometown has ups and downs. My ups have been great with doors opening up allowing me to further my education at Essex County College graduate, with a degree in social science. Also furthering my education at Rutgers Newark, studying Pschology as a major and criminal justice as a minor. My expected graduation date is May 2018, I am looking to further my studies in Law, hopefully Law schoool will be in my future endeavors. I am proud to be a Newark resident setting goals and example for other single parent moms
And our young youth. It’s never to late to pursue your dreams regardless of your situation. I am humbled and bless to have had this opportunity to commit myself to both state schools and having set goals to finish. I would like to see Essex County give out more resources to the city of Newark to encourage the people within the city of Newark to return to school.

This nieghborhood is like any other. One must love and care for eachother and thier community for things to truly be the best. I have met some lovely people and I also encountered a few unapologetic rude people as well. In the end life is what you make of it, and personally I make lemons out of lemonade.
Essex county overall is average. There is room for improvements, however it will take time. The parks are well taken care of, the safety is an issue, the nightlife is affected by the safety. The rating for a family friendly environment is also affected by the lack of safety after hours. The cost of living is average, which also affects the real state, hence making the market not so desirable.
