Cost of living in Erie is great, but the growth and advancement towards the future is stalled in the early 2000's. I would love to see an expansion and commitment to the area from a large company or any other enterprise. Besides our hospital, the lake and Presque Isle are the only real attractant to visitors.
In Erie, PA we have many opportunities for all types of people and all types of families. Our homes are cheaper then most around and we live in a good safe community. Between Presque isle and lake Erie, we have many attractions for lots of tourists to visit a safe but fun area. One thing I think Erie could work in is our diversity, many of our schools are primarily white, I feel that everyone should be exposed to many different races. This helps you learn more about how others grow up and live in different areas of the world.
I moved to Erie 15 years ago and am very pleased with the life and opportunities it has provided. The cost of living and low commute time are some of the best aspects
Rural community where neighbors help neighbors and will mind their own business unless you want them to be involved with your life.
I lived in Erie all my life. Erie is my home. I lived by the lake and this is my most favorite part about Erie. The lake is apart of me. I feel that I would be lost without it. There is so much Lake Erie offers to our community.
I've lived in Erie County my whole life. One of the best things about living here is that everywhere is about 5 minutes away. Living in a small town has allowed me to meet my neighbors, my classmates, and people in my community and build bonds with them. The weather here can be a bit dramatic. In the summer time, we have beautiful sunny skies, which you can watch over the lake. It's a great time to take out a boat, have some sandwiches, and fish or jet skii all day long. In the winter time, not only does our beautiful lake freeze to the point we can walk on it, but the snow starts and seems to never stop. It's over all a very safe place. My father was a policeman here for twenty years, and through the good and the bad, we've always been ecstatic to call Erie home.
Born and raised in Erie! Lots of fun activities during the summer. I love the size of the town! Feels small while being quite big.
Erie county is a great place to raise your family. There’s a perfect balance for choices of public and private schools. We also have top notch colleges right in our backyards. There are lots of attractions all year round. Summer season, you can enjoy the beach, amusement park and community fairs. Winter season, you can sled ride, ski and snowmobile. The Fall is the best! You get to enjoy all the gorgeous colors of fall and don’t forget all the Pumpkins!
I live in Fairview and I feel very safe here. If you get closer to downtown, there are definitely streets you should avoid. I think all cities have the bad parts of town so I don't hate Erie as a whole because of the couple bad spots. The events and scene is very exciting and aesthetic!
I like the safe feeling I have in my own home,I have lived here all my life which has been over 48 years,I will probably never move anywhere else
Living in the countryside, just a little outside of Erie, PA is great. The activities are endless in all seasons.
I moved here from down south and the weather is trash! It always snows or its always cold here. Other than that the lake is nice.
The sunsets at the Pennisula and a site to see. An the events that happen on the bayfront are fun but can be sketchy at times.
I like the beaches in Erie County. Erie. Is a beautiful place that has beautiful sunsets that I feel everyone should come to. You can experience all of the great fun and food that Erie County has to offer.
Nice scenery, a lot to do and see. There has been elevated crime downtown in recent years, but the Millcreek area and Belle Valley area are very nice and family friendly communities.
Erie is right on the lake and has a ton of options for activities. Sara’s has amazing food. The ice cream shops are all amazing and the atmosphere is unique.
Erie county needs help. Businesses are closing, homes are always up for sale, and there are more pot holes on the streets than there are working street lights.
