It is a rapidly growing county, with much to offer in every aspect of life. There are nice, well kept playgrounds everywhere, the school facilities are clean, and most everyone you meet is friendly. It is a short distance from Pooler, Georgia and also Historic Downtown Savannah, Georgia, making it a quiet, homey place to reside while still being near the big attractions of South Georgia. One thing Effingham County can improve upon is giving back to the community. There are small traces of helping hands and organizations, but the larger projects you hear about are in surrounding counties. With Effingham so rapidly growing, there needs to be a return to the citizens in showing it is still a tight-knit, family oriented, place to be-even when becoming so busy and spread out.

I love Effingham and have grown up here. My grandmother's family is responsible for the first settlement at Ebenezer (the first settlement in Effingham). The Effingham Community is small and Christ-like. It's perfect for those searching to raise their children close to God!
Living in Effingham County, I've been able to connect with my neighbors and schoolmates. It's a great community, with good schools and churches. People here are very kind and welcoming. It has many places for fellowship and many restaurants.
