Eastland County has been a wonderful place to live in. Over the years, I have noticed a sense of pride within the community which transcends that of any other county I have ever visited. There is constant renovation that helps both the physical and spiritual state of the county as a whole. New restaurants are constantly being built, and Eastland High school recently went through major renovations that have spectacularly improved the learning environment. I could not imagine living anywhere but here.

Eastland County is very welcoming town. People who grow up in small towns, like the ones in Eastland County, grow up learning honesty and sincerity. Eastland County contains small towns to puts the quote, "Where everyone, knows everything. (and everyone)" to the fullest extent of the truth. Plus how can anyone hate a small town? Even half of the country songs are about small towns!
One of the famous traditions of Eastland county is the Old Rip parade. It happens every year on the first Saturday of October. It's name comes from a horned lizard whose supposed lived 31 years in the courthouse walls and was found when it was being torn down. His body is embalmed and placed in the courthouse for everyone to see. The whole county shuts down for this parade to re-kinder relationships and enjoy amazing food.
I am so happy to have grown up in such an awesome county and I am grateful for everything it taught me.
I love living in Eastland! The people are friendly and the schools are the best in the area! My family moved from the Midland/Odessa area and it is much slower paced and the cost of living is so much less.
