I have mixed feelings about living in Douglas County. The people are friendly, traffic isn’t horrible for a city and it’s clean. The taxes here are ridiculous. Property taxes are too high, utilities have increased their rates consistently. Residents refer to Nebraska as the tax me state. Nebraska will always be home, not Douglas County.

Douglas County is the best part of Omaha, Nebraska! I lived there until I left for college and would go back to live there after college.
Omaha is a wonderful place to live. It feels like home. The community there is marvelous. It has a great economy with a lot of opportunity. It has many venue of entertainment, such as the Henrey Doorly Zoo, but not too much to fill the city of tourists. The one problem with Omaha is that it is isolated for the most part. Surrounding Omaha is just cornfields and Lincoln but mainly cornfields. The city is big enough so you don't feel that but there are not many other places you can easily travel too. All together I would like to visit other places, but I would live here again if I had the choice.

I see Omaha growing in area and population.

I've only ever lived in Cape Canaveral, Florida. I can't rank these cities because I like them equally for different reasons.

1. Omaha- Better economy. more jobs, a better home and community feel.

2. Cape Canaveral- More adventure
