Dickson County Reviews
Rating 3.7 out of 5 64 reviews
I have lived in Dickson County my whole life, and while its no big city, I wouldn't have wanted to live anywhere else. I live very close to main street, so it is very easy for me to walk downtown and shop in all of the local stores and coffee shops. Which, by the way, we have the best coffee shop in Tennessee, House Blend! Just about every day main street is busy and gets lots of business, and it produces an amazing atmosphere that attracts any visitors from out of town. A couple years ago downtown got new sidewalks and planted beautiful trees that provides the classic yet modern scenery of the downtown of a small town.
Dickson is a great place. While Dickson is a smaller town, and you may not want to move here; I will just say that it is a great place to grow up and when it comes to it, retire. I am currently a senior about to go to college out of state for a marine biology program. One of the benefits that came from my being in Dickson is that some schools will give me in-state tuition to go to their school.
It is a great little town to live in. The town is still small at the moment; however, it has been quickly growing the past couple of years. At the moment it doesn't seem like the growth is going to slow down for a while. Which means there will be more stores coming in and new jobs helping grow the economic output of Dickson. Therefore Dickson can continue to grow giving it better funding to make the schools better and make more things to do in the town. I would suggest Dickson as a good place to live. Everywhere i go the people are always nice and the locals I've known forever get invested in you and care which you do not receive everywhere.
