The rural area that I live in has open fields. The wildlife in the area is spectacular. People have horses, cows and chickens in their fields. The neighbors consist of a few shady individuals whom like to roam the fields at night. It can be scary to live here at times. I would imagine that people whom live in the city do not have any safer living. I would enjoy moving away to a very secluded area away from all the people. It is my goal to graduate college and save up enough money to move away into the forest with my family.

After searching for a part-time job to help supplement for school I realized that there were very little jobs in the Smithville area. The jobs that are offered they are often minimum-wage and part-time. For someone like a single mother this would be very inconvenient and I assume they would have to look out of town for employment opportunities. There are small retail stores, convenience stores, grocery, and fast-food restaurants but these places rarely seem to have jobs available.
The area has quite a few shady individuals that live here. There are frequent robberies and drug deals here. Garages get broken into and stolen from occasionally. My top concern is on Halloween night when some of the more vibrant characters come roam around in the fields trying to break into peoples houses. It can be a very scary place to live.
