Dekalb county is alright, it is not the best. I have been living here for 18 years with my parents. I like my neighborhood its very quiet and my neighbors are very nice to me and they help me out when needed. I love when holidays come around because the homes in my neighborhood be decked out with decorations. The main attraction I like going to sometimes is Stone Mountain park. However, it needs a lot of improvement in Dekalb County! Technology and food services needs to be upgraded in public schools. There are many pot holes in the road that needs fixing and there are no bus routes where I live to get to places like the mall.

My experience with DeKalb and all of it's features is somewhat mediocre. Let's start with schools. They aren't that far apart, which is great sometimes, but other times it comes down to the wire. For example, sports games. Many high school athletic teams have to bargain for either local stadiums. Another issue with the schools is that they aren't finished. When I say that, I mean athletic fields and other facilities. My second issue with DeKalb are the roads. Too many potholes! I mean, honestly where are all tax payer monies going? This is just the first and second issues. I could go on forever. It's not the perfect county, but it could be better.
Dekalb county could use a lot of improvement. The schools aren't the best and the value of their estates in the county aren't good. It isn't the safest county to live in but it is affordable. The county have mostly African Americans living in the residential area. Overall though it isn't that bad of a place to live which is why I give it an average rating. It's affordable and the houses are moderately nice. Not all neighborhoods are bad either, some are really nice and are family freiendly.
