Dawson County Reviews
Dawson County has recently expanded its retail experience from just an outlet mall to a vast array of retail shops and restaurants, making the need to travel outside of Dawson County for various reasons unnecessary. Because of this, Dawson County has become a convenient, fun, and accessible while still maintaining a low cost of living. The education system for the area could be better, but they are now working on that as well, expanding their educational resources, courses, clubs, and creating more educational opportunities for their students. The greatest downside to Dawson County is the tremendous lack of diversity.
Dawson County has been relatively small and quiet until recently I believe it is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. I love that new things are up and arising however with that comes people, traffic, and crime. We have seen an increase in all of these, that I do not like. Dawson county offers Kayaking, fishing, hiking, and shopping. I personally like the outdoors and am glad that there is many things to do outdoors in Dawson County. At this point though I wish they would stop the growth and maintain the county as is.
Dawson County is my hometown. It was a small town when I was growing up. Now it's growing up. The recent growth in Dawsonville is something I'm not excited about being a native of the small-town feel, however, it is much more convenient having everything within a short driving distance.
