Clayton County Reviews
Rating 3.33 out of 5 45 reviews
Clayton county has many nice neighborhoods and people. However, many of the streets & businesses need to be updated. There are a lot of unappealing out-of-order gas stations & buildings that can be turned into something we need. We have a lot of Family Dollar stores and fast food restaurants that could have been made into a Publix or Whole Foods- something different to the area. It would be nice to see the proper updates to our community, so that we have something to be proud of. Perhaps, if the area was updated, people would start caring as well and take care of it.
I have pictures of the school zone on Norman Dr. where North Clayton High School sits that has turned into a dumping ground of trash everywhere. There is a plaza that is convenient to the community. It has a grocery store, restaurants, and salons etc. However, behind it there is a pathway that was created by those who are on foot, which is not a problem, I see these type walkways in nice communities all the time, but they are paved and do not have TRASH everywhere. The pathway is a dump in itself that the county or whomever responsible has ignored. The longstanding and new taxpaying citizens here in this area along with their children and families are underservant of this treatment. There are no signs stating fines for dumping. It is unsightly and sad that this is what the county has ignored. This is what the children in this school zone see when they are walking and riding to school every day, trash everywhere and unkept grass and sidewalks.
Being in this area, it is a mix of good and bad things. Everyone is close together, and most often call each other family. It's very busy, and everyone knows each other, so you most often will think: "What a small world." Sometimes the environment isn't too good. Many threatening things happen such as school threats and such. Too many things happen behind scenes, but our community has many resources surrounding us. We have plenty of businesses and stores to shop from, and there are plenty of parks to visit for physical activity. There are many options pertaining to things available to get involved with in the community.
