I love this area! Growing up here and experiencing all four seasons and all the activities that go with them was outstanding and so much fun! The food is good, the people are nice, and the scenery is beautiful. Some bigger city people may consider it a little bit sleepy, but I like the pace and the space offered by Vermont!
There is a great sense of community such as weekly free meals on Fri night at a church provided by a rotating variety of groups, an increasing preservation of open lands and trail maintenance provided by several organizations. The businesses support each other in a friendly way even though they may be competitors. The schools are recognized as providing above average educations and the physical plants are available for assorted usages.
Housing is mostly owner occupied. The biggest drawback is that this is a desirable area, near enough to the larger cities where the jobs are and an interstate to get there, with good schools but there aren't many rental properties.
