Chesterfield County is great for families. But the food and community activities are very good! Definitely a good place to settle down or even retire. There are different tiers throughout the community in terms of what kinds of lifestyles you are looking for. From apartments, townhouses or single family homes, there is a place for everyone. The average cost of living is pretty moderate so you won't go broke living out here. Most places are pet friendly and a lot of the restaurants are family owned. There is plenty to do around the holiday seasons as well. I wouldn't recommend as a young single though, the night life and going out scene is very scarce.

I love the fact that Chesterfield has busier areas as well as quieter little pockets of space. You're never too far from something you need, but you don't have to live within inches of your neighbors if you want a little breathing room!

There's a good selection of restaurants, shopping centers, and entertainment to choose from, but it's not bombarding you at every turn. There are plenty of larger general-purpose stores as well as boutique-style specialty shops. Overall, I only wish for less traffic on 360!
I have been living here my whole life and have loved it! I have lived in various different neighborhood around chesterfield county and they have all been good. No complaints from me! The people are nice. I went to elementary, middle and high school here as well and loved all 3 schools. What I would like to see changed are the roads being repaved
