I love my small town Champaign ,IL its a college oriented town and the home of the University of Illinois. Its a great place to raise a family but also go out and meet new people and have fun. I would recommend more food places but when you have been living somewhere your whole life its easy to exhaust your options. We have a festive downtown and public transportation is a common and easy way around Champaign, way to go green! Opportunities are vast and Champaign is a common place in Illinois where people from big surrounding cities would love to live and thrive with still a big city vibe.

For school this is diffidently the community for it! Lots of distractions to help tune in your focus and tons of opportunity for learning something new.
For the most part, Champaign County is a nice place to live. Recently, however there has been an increase in crime, such as shootings, fights, and drug abuse. This is in a very small section of Champaign county and is resolved fairly quickly by our amazing police department. The best areas of Champaign county are the ones further from the city- I like to call it "Country Living". You are further from city lights and sound, you can be one with yourself, and really enjoy natures beauty without being off the grid!
