Carroll County is a community that treats its residents like one monumental family. I would recommend people who are new to the state of Georgia to come visit this county, for we are rich in history and hospitality. In recent times, the county adopted measures such as mixed use development that maintains the balance between modernization and small-town living. An example of the aforementioned is the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center, a state of the art musical facility that is the largest of its kind west of Atlanta.

Carroll County is a wonderful county in Georgia. Uptown in Carrollton they tend to take excellent care of the local town Square, as well as cleanup on the sides of the county roads too. If I could choose one thing to be different about this county, it would be More affordable housing for those that have low income and or, better help from the local department of family and children services for single mothers whose children's fathers are incarcerated. They have no help whatsoever. If the mom chooses to leave the dad, because of who he is. And he chooses to continue to live a life of stupidity instead of stepping up, and gets locked up. There should be help from the state and or county. There are everywhere else, why not here?
I have lived in Carroll County since 2015 and have been thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Downtown Carrollton is quaint and consists of family-owned restaurants, nightclubs, and shops. It demonstrates a true sense of community and it's a perfect place for those looking for a small-town environment with activities to do while there. The school system is great in Carroll County as it is the home of the University of West Georgia, where I currently attend for my undergraduate education.
