The majority of the crimes where I live is drug abuse and DUIs. There are drug dens in the area and several known places of meth manufacturing and marijuana farms. However, this hasn't really been an issue in the public's eye here due to the fact these people mostly keep to themselves and don't cause a disturbance in the area. A few years ago there was a murder in the town and a few robberies, but those were on the news for no more than a week. I live in such a small town that most of the time, the only news of crime is through word of mouth.

Buckingham is a rural community. It has many gas stations, churches, and banks to choose from. If you like living in the country, this is the place to be. I would like to see better involvement in student success in the public school system.
I live in a very rural area so I enjoy the privacy and the landscape, but the people who live in this area are very conservative, whereas I am more liberal, so I am outnumbered when it comes to stating my views on certain topics. I am also very far away from the closest town. 30 minutes to the closest grocery store and at least an hour to the nearest department store. It used to take me about 30 minutes to get to my high school because there is only one in my area. While I enjoy a beautiful scenery, I wish I lived in a slightly more urban area with more open-minded people and so it doesn't take an hour just to get a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread.
