So, I have been living in Broward County half of my life and there is always something going on or something different that changes. There are good and bad experiences but not all neighborhoods are perfect! We are all living in the vicinity of each other just trying to live our lives to the very best that we can. Learning to love our neighbors, our family, our homes and the community we all live in. Only thing that I do not like, (which I heard it's not just our county) is the rates increasing due to inflation. Hopefully, we can get this settled so we all do not have to struggle.
Living in Broward County has grown from a small town to a beautiful small city of diversity. Experienced going to the theatre, small cafes to delicious restaurants, beautiful beaches and intercoastal that service the nautical side of life. You can live on the water or inland of suburbs and even enough land to have horses and any other kind of animals. Broward County Public Schools is third in ranking statewide and tops in the nation! Living in Broward County is the place for those that want a nightlife next to Miami (Dade) where you are only 20-30 minutes away from the American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat and the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins. There is plenty of culture to absorb! Living in Broward is the place to call, "Home"!
Lazy officials unwilling to do anything significant for disabled person(s), such as myself. I have cerebral palsy, we have barely received anything as far as financial assistance and personal aid. We get food stamps, more than we need, enough to feed a family of 6, there's 3 of us. If only some of that was money going toward my disability benefits.
The court system is terrible and refuse to prosecute my father after years of not receiving a child support payment. I'm 17, the last payment was when I was 2. In addition, my social security check comes months past what its supposed to. When you live on a $900 monthly lot rent making 12k a year, that takes a hit.
The teachers here are selfish and don't care about their students, giving piles of work without any explanation.
If you care about your child's education and the ability to live without constantly stressing, don't bring them here.
