I was born and raised in Brazoria County and although it isn’t a busy area, I love it. It’s a great place to raise a family and you definitely don’t have to hear police sirens and ambulances every 5 seconds like you would in Harris County. It’s not country living, but it’s not city living. It’s just right. We have some great school systems throughout the county and great law enforcement.

Over the last few years Brazoria county has expanded by leaps and bounds. Small town flare with big town goals. The employment opportunities have doubled in the last year alone bringing in a lot of businesses, restaurants and entertainment. The one thing I would like to see in the Lake Jackson area is a entertainment spot for our younger crowd. Something like a Top Golf or Main Event would give the teens around here something to do besides just the movie theatre.
Brazoria county is a wonderful place to retire or to raise a family simply because of the traditional values held by most of the residents and the overall peaceful neighborhoods. I have lived here all my life and have enjoyed my experiences here. But, I hope to experience more out of the county. Unless you hope to live a life here working in the plants, I encourage people to experience more than this county.
