Allegany County is beautiful and relatively peaceful. There is a low cost of living and much natural beauty. You can live at a slower pace of life here. Some drawbacks are the culture of ignorance and poverty. Choices for anything outside the norm are limited. But there are good people here and some who wish to expand possibilities and strive for better things in Allegany County. It's all in where you put your focus I guess.
Allegany County is a great place for families. It is affordable, however; not many job opportunities.
I would choose to live here for the rest of my life because I enjoy being in the peace and quiet. There are neighbors around, but I am still able to have privacy. Not much happens here which is good because crime is included in that. It's far away from stores or activities, which may be a downside, but I would rather be far from it and live here.
