Lansing is a beautiful, caring, close community. Everyone knows each other, and everyone feels safe around each other. Parents do not have to worry about their children while they are playing with friends, and people in general do not have to worry about their own safety. Up until I decided I wanted to go to Minneapolis for college, I had wanted to live in Lansing my entire life. I planned to come back after college, and try to get a job in one of the surrounding towns. Now that I know where I plan to attend college, I'm not sure where I will live after; but I know that Lansing is always a great option and I would not regret returning.
Lansing is a very safe town. If I am walking somewhere alone, whether it be at night or during the day, I always feel safe. Very rarely do I hear about crime in Lansing. There is occasional thefts or arrests, but not enough to be concerned about. I am never worried about my home being broken into, or my safety being threatened.
