Alexander County Reviews
Taylorsville is a small conservative town, but there are members of the town who are liberal and the two opposing camps coexist relatively peacefully. It is a nice town. Property costs are low, and there is a recent movement toward making the town prettier, so there are lots of new murals. The library is nice. Though the town has a significant white majority (or at least in access to resources), there are also Hispanic American, African American, and Hmong American people living in the area, which is nice.
Alexander is a rural county, which makes it homey but distant. If you don't live in the central part of the towns then it takes you about 20 to 30 minutes to get anywhere.
Alexander County may be a small town but is a great community. It is a very rural area and there is not a whole lot to do but it is not far from Statesville or Hickory.
