I've lived in the Ada County for most of my life, and as a teenager living within the county I've had mostly great experiences where I live. Especially in the Downtown Boise area, there are many local businesses that provide much of the "Boise culture" that allows for Downtown to have hometown life, yet is prone to tourism where other people can appreciate the area. The education I've faced while living within the county has varied, where some of the schools I've gone to have been very poor and have a low quality for education. Although, the school I attend now, Renaissance High School, is an amazing school that is in the Ada County that is a public IB school.

Ada county is great for families and outdoorsy people. Nightlife leaves something to be desired. We have a lot of chain restaurants. I would love to see more original restaurants opening up. Lots of great hiking, walking trails around the area. Traffic is usually only bad at 5:00pm and 8:00 am during the week.
The local government is strongly shifted to one side of the political spectrum which is frustrating to those of opposing views, and can be very detrimental to the development of new ideas and ways of thinking. The same people generally get reelected because the elections for local government get little attention from the community (since the same party controls almost everything, there is little competition or debate). However, stagnation in government in general causes a shakeup sometimes.
