I’ve lived in butler township for almost six years and I would say it’s a pretty average suburb of Pittsburgh. While All the necessities are fairly close, there’s not a whole lot for young people to do. The mall is closing, but there’s some rails to trails in the area that are fun. Overall, it’s a painfully average community where some neighbors are nice and others won’t give you the time of day.
I like the space offered in our neighborhoods and all of the parks. There still could be some improvements made on storm water management.
We are a suburb-like area, so it's not like living in a city. We don't have many shootings, and most are domestic disputes. There is a HUGE drug problem, however, and the police are not on top of it at all.
