Burnsville is a very diverse community! We love our neighbors dearly and feel that our community is a great place to live. The schools are also pretty good, but not in comparison to the nearby schools. We don’t have a very good nightlife, but the community is very family-friendly besides not having a community swimming pool:-/

I was born and raised in Burnsville. I grew up in the same house my mother and her 7 siblings grew up in. I went to elementary, middle, and high school here. I had the opportunity to play many club sports, spend my summers with Kids of Summer, and spend my days and evenings playing with neighborhood kids at the parks near our houses. I also had the chance to earn college credits through the PSEO program at Burnsville High School. Although I left for college, I returned to Burnsville. I work in a very up and coming area, and I find myself comparing it to Burnsville, and realize Burnsville is no longer the suburb it used to be. With that being said, I am happy to see that Burnsville is actively working towards redevelopment of many areas, and making this place a friendly and purposeful city for all. I look forward to seeing the Burnsville of the future.
Burnsville is where I have lived all 20 years of my life and I couldn't have asked for a better place to call home. Burnsville is a southern suburb of the Twin Cities, and has many restaurants entertainment features to offer for all seasons. Buck Hill is a ski and snowboard area that also features tubing, the CMX Odyssey is the movie theatre in here located near the Burnsville Mall, which features many clothing shops. There are also many outdoor parks and recreation areas to enjoy. Burnsville also is very convenient with several Walgreens, Targets, grocery stores, and miscellaneous shops. Only 30 minutes from Minneapolis, Burnsville is a great place to raise a family in the suburbs.
