Burnside Township Reviews
Everyone is friendly. Local people will learn who you are quickly. Everything you need is within 30 minute drive time. The peacefulness of knowing your neighbors are nearby if you need them but not close enough to invade on your privacy. This is a very slow growing community. We live with the Amish community in harmony. We like it that way. I love living where I can watch the sunrise and set, listen to the owl a few farms over, watch the horses run in the fields. Grow my own apples and pears and vegetables and make them last all winter long. Knowing that my food is not covered with chemicals to make them last for extended times, and I know exactly what I put in my own food. I lived in a big city for 20 years and I have no plans to return to the pavement that absorbs all the heat, and the buildings that block out the skyline and all the houses that quiet the frogs and the birds.
I love this area. Hard working farmers and laid back living. Beautiful summer nights fireflies and all.
There are very few crimes in this area. The worst I have seen is someone who is drunk and will not let someone give him a ride home. The police are very visible in town and the surrounding areas, including the county officers and the State Police.
