Wonderful place to live! Perfect balance of nearby places to go out (including Old Town Fairfax and Mosaic District) and a suburban lifestyle with many trails and forests. Schools are recognized as among the best in the US and have many extracurriculars. VRE/Amtrak has two stations on either side of Burke for an easy train commute to Alexandria, Crystal City and DC for those who prefer not to drive to work. Homes here sell fast!
Burke has amazing schools. People are very nice everything is within 25 minutes of a car drive at the most. Neighborhoods are very safe. There are great parks around to enjoy yourself at. Burke is full of green vibrant trees. Burke is more on the expensive side of Virginia for homes. Burke is very safe. The diversity in Burke is amazing! You can find people of different ethnicity anywhere!
It's alright. Don't be suckered into living here because most of the positive reviews are from people trying to sell you an overpriced house here. Most of the jobs in this town are too low paying for the houses here, unless you're in the cheapest condo or neighborhood. As a teenager, it's also very hard to find a job, as I applied to multiple places and only got 2 jobs in the area. In terms of crime, eh. It's alright. There's always fights and a couple shootings here and there, but nothing awful. The worst part about the town is probably the people though. The adults are egotistical nobodies and the teens are either trappers or nerds. The females aren't very cute either ngl.
