I used to live in a larger city in California before moving to Texas, where the population was 372,476 in 2015, when we left. I have friends that live here in Burkburnett that lead us to moving here. The city/town has a population of 10,811, which was last recorded in 2014. Burk, short for Burkburnett, has a very small town feel and spirit. The residents take pride in their town, and everyone is very nice and supportive. I hope to purchase a home here and grow some roots for my family in this town.
Review Burkburnett
I love this small town.
We have a beautiful park "Friendship Park" that is surrounded by beautiful landscape with a pond and a park. It has a walking path that circles the pond.
The schools are amazing and are filled with the brightest teachers in Texas!
Burkburnett is 10 minutes away from Sheppard Air Force Base.
Racist. Homophobic. Stereotypical hick-ville. I'm sure this town is "ideal" to raise a family in. However, from my experience living here as a military kid, I have known this town to be very closed-minded and always in-the-know about drama within the community. The majority of the town is related somehow, and they aren't planning on leaving anytime soon.
