Bunkie is a very quiet town with not much to do. Though there is not much to Bunkie, it is overall a good place for families to move to raise children. The town is clean but does not have many things to do. It is hard to find a job as a teenager, most jobs in Bunkie require you to be 18 years old or older for jobs. I enjoyed how quiet Bunkie is. Nothing really happens here and everyone knows everyone. If i could change anything about Bunkie it would be the amount of stores/shops. Most towns or cities have a walmart, Bunkie does not even have that. I would like to see Bunkie get more stores and shops intown so the people who live in bunkie do not have to drive 30 to 40 minutes away just to get something.
I have lived in Bunkie all my life. I love my hometown. The schools have went down but they can be turned around with some great help. The people of Bunkie are very nice, I have yet to have any encounters of racism and I’m 32 years old. People come from everywhere to attend the city’s Corn Festival. I love to attend just to eat from all the different vendors and watch my nieces and nephews enjoy the rides. Bunkie is really a great place.
Bunkie is a small town with tons of potential. Business is decent in Bunkie. There are alot of great churches in Bunkie.
