Buford has the best schools in the state of GA. They are a City school, with the amenities of a private school, with the academics of a college. Not only are the academics top notch, the athletics and arts are amazing. There is Main street, where you have the nightlife of downtown Atlanta, with restaurants, shops, bars, and greenspace for walking. Within few minutes drive, you have Lake Lanier and the Mall of Georgia. Even if my kids were not athletes, I would want them to go to Buford for the education!
Buford, Georgia is a charming town that offers a perfect blend of small-town Southern charm and modern amenities. The town is located about 30 minutes north of Atlanta, making it a convenient location for those who want to enjoy city life but prefer a more relaxed pace of living.
One of the things I love about Buford is its historic downtown area, which is filled with unique shops, restaurants, and other local businesses. It's a great place to spend an afternoon browsing the stores and grabbing a bite to eat, and there are always fun community events happening throughout the year.
In addition to the downtown area, Buford also has several large shopping centers and commercial areas, including the popular Mall of Georgia. There are also several great parks and outdoor recreation areas in the surrounding area, which offer opportunities for hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

The city of Buford is located about 25 miles outside the perimeter of Atlanta, Georgia. Great school system, affordable housing and home to one of the largest shopping malls in the country, The Mall of Georgia coming in a close second to the Mall of America located right outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Although strides have been made in the area of public transit, this plan has a long way to go. An expansion from Atlanta’s Marta Train would open up opportunities for more disadvantaged individuals to purchase affordable housing. There’s a shuttle system currently in place - with a round trip shuttle opportunity available Atlanta to Buford 6-8 times daily with departures and arrivals available from many locations. An actual train system could actually free Atlanta’s obvious traffic woes. The expansion of a train system could save individual commuters valuable family time, and promote healthy stress-free living.
