I have found the people of Buckeye to be friendly, helpful, and diverse. It's a much bigger city with a lot more agricultural land than I expected prior to moving here. I love that it's only 30 minutes from Phoenix and 5 hours from California. Plus, freeway traffic is light or absent and there are main thoroughfares that can be used as alternate routes. Plenty of shopping, fast food and dining options, as well. Nearby cities are much larger and have everything one could ask for, from big box stores and antique malls to fine dining and trendy bakeries. There are lots of parks and trails out here and Buckeye even has its own museum! Local law enforcement and library services are quick to help when needed, also. As far as schools are concerned, there are public, charter and private, and most people I've talked are happy with their local schools. There are also several community colleges and universities within driving distance, making Buckeye a great place to live!

Buckeye, neighbor’s support and take care of each other! Not everyone is well-off financially but everyone gives when a neighbor is in need. When the elderly man lost his home to a fire, anything the community could donate to him until he had a home again was organized daily. An improvement the Buckeye community would benefit from is affordable transportation! When my car breaks down, the struggle to find a ride 30 miles into Phoenix is not a simple or cheap alternative.
Honestly, Buckeye is a very small town. You can find a ton of people in it however that are from all parts of the world and different cultures if you look hard enough. The diversity is 100% still growing but it has made some advancements to become more of a melting pot. The things that suck most is that buckeye is definitely car reliant, many people here walk and its really hot and difficult to go from place to place. This is a very low income town with absolutely no night life! however the friendships you make hear are much more meaningful and can last a life time! its not a bad place to settle and raise a family but do push your children to attain more and widen their minds by seeing all the world can offer.
