This town is very historic. We have the Tennessee Delta Heritage center that contains a welcome center, cotton museum, music museum, the home of blues legend "Sleepy" John Estes, and the childhood school of Tina Turner and etc. It also contains Billy Tripp's Mindfield. Brownsville is a town to go and site see and you'll learn a lot about the history of this town.
I moved to Brownsville, Tennessee to be closer to my job site. I worked very hard in this community to network and assist citizens who were experiencing domestic/sexual abuse, financial issues from job loss, or circumstances of their environment that led them to stay in a generational chain of illiteracy, teen pregnancy, gang culture, and poverty. This town is small, but it has a big heart. My mission was to inspire "never give up" to my former students and the community-at-large; therefore, I aim higher to help others.
I've lived in Brownsville most of my live and it's an ok place to live. It's a small town with limited resources and not a lot of activities to do here, but it's quiet and peaceful.
