Brooklyn Center is a nice quiet area to live in, especially for families and elders. It is calm, collected, and full of life. Brooklyn Center is exceedingly family-friendly with many parks, trails, and public schools. So, wherever you go there is sure to be kids and residents walking around enjoying the outdoors. Brooklyn Center also supports many small and local businesses. For example, Brooklyn Center has some of my favorite small Asian cuisine businesses! More importantly, Brooklyn Center is a boiling pot of numerous cultures that reside here and contribute to the community with unique lifestyles. However, with all these great aspects, Brooklyn Center is a middle-class suburban area, meaning public schools, parks, and some buildings may be old and need restoration. Although Brooklyn Center may not be the wealthiest of suburban areas, it contains great history and community. Overall, Brooklyn Center is a wonderful place to live in, grow families, and experience cultural diversity.
I enjoy the amount of resources Brooklyn Center has, there are many places for people to go with a ethnic background! They have a immigrant help center near where I stay off of Brooklyn Boulevard. There is also easy transportation in case you do not have a vehicle, which I found convenient when I didn't have a car! There are place to eat such as Irie Vybz Jamaican Restaurant, which is to die for! I love living here!
Brooklyn Center at the Center is close to everything. At the intersection
of hwy 100, I-694, and I-94. It is close to all the good neighborhoods. You can drive there and walk your dog and pretend you live there. There are pockets of neighborhoods which have low crime contrary to popular opinion. People are humble and not snobbish. They don’t brag about their jobs and careers and possessions and golf course memberships. Minorities are welcome and not stared at like in other snooty neighborhoods.
Homes are affordable. In my neighborhood, there is Highland Park, an arboretum, and the Mac Wildlife area. Lots of deer, a fox, coyotes, bald eagles, wood ducks, mallards, geese, etc. Yes, all that exists in the heart of Brooklyn Center.
Your kids will not feel lonely since we have more children than any of the snooty neighborhoods due to hard working immigrants who have large families like the Hmong.
I have lived here 20 years and it is a good first home location.
