When I first moved to Brookland, I was in third grade. I used to live in West Helena, and it was a major change to move two hours away. I instantly felt welcomed by all of the teachers and students at Brookland Public Schools. I love seeing the town of Brookland expand and grow with new buildings and many new students coming into the school district. The only thing I would change about this town is the amount of homeless people begging on the streets and the amount of stray dogs roaming around. I think services should be provided for these people and animals.

I love that Brookland is such a small community and everyone knows everyone. You can go to a basketball game and you’ll talk to people who have known my parents forever and me since I was born. It just feels like home. One thing I’d like to see change in Brookland is get a new mayor. This mayor likes to put up apartments all around town and we don’t need apartments, we need houses. Also, we need like a grocery store.
Safe, quiet, and homey. This town offers a great school and a great community. There are not many sweet little towns so close to bigger towns.
