Brookings Reviews

This community is bursting with creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Diversity has clearly been a priority and many community members proudly display their support for inclusiveness initiatives. The community is still fairly conservative. The live music scene is growing but could use more community support.
Love the town, but being a transplant from another state, locals are standoffish and critically judgemental. Meeting people, the first two questions I am always asked are, " Where you from?" and "Why'd you move here?" I would have thought that Brookings being a college town, this close minded attitude would not be an issue, but it is...
Brookings is an amazing place to live! Good schools, community, activities, etc. Very happy about the place!
