Brookhaven, MS has a special place in my heart. I have lived all 18 years of my life here having the best of times and the worst of times. Brookhaven has incredible people and amazing public schools. Living in the deep south in a small town you can run into problems of nothing to do. Not to fret, there is usually a high school function, live music in a local restaurant or a weekend event downtown. The local restaurants are to die for. Though Brookhaven may be in the south, there are plenty more food options than just good southern food. Brookhaven's downtown is one of a kind with bakeries, hotels, coffee shops, and Brookhaven's own Little Theatre where you can watch local teens and adults perform in many different plays. Brookhaven High School has a special place in my heart as I have spent the last four years of my life there. The academics and athletics both are incredible. I would not have wanted to grow up anywhere else and I am so thankful this is the place I call home!

I absolutely love my hometown--Brookhaven, MS. It is called a "Homeseekers paradise" for a reason; it fulfills all your hopes and dreams expected of a small town. We have many locally owned businesses, eateries, bakeries, and boutiques. Brookhaven is an awesome place to raise your family. We have many events going on that the Chamber and other members of the community sponsor; such as but not limited to: St Paddys Parade, Easter Egg Hunts, Christmas Parade, Christmas Open House, Spring Fling, Spring Open House, Mardi Gras Parade, BarkFest, Ole Brook Festival, Exchange Club Fair, Relay for Life, Hog Wild Festival and the list could go on and on. Everyone owes themself a visit to the wonderful town of Brookhaven!
Brookhaven, Ms is a great place to live and even raise a family in. It's a small laid back town. We are 50 miles from the state capitol, and around 60-65 from Hattiesburg. We have many schools to choose from depending on where you live. We have the city schools and then we have the county schools. Either one you pick are a good choice. As for the option of restaurants and food, we have plenty of places for both. We have at least 10 restaurants and many fast food places. As for grocery stores we have 3. For entertainment we lack a little, but we do have 2 skating rinks and a movie theater. Overall though I wouldn't want to live in any other town, because this is the place I call home. It's a cute and quaint little town. It's defiantly a Home Seekers Paradise.
