Brookeville is a small, rural community within commuting distance of Washington, D.C. People are friendly, and there are ample opportunities for spending time outside in nature. There are few businesses, but it's only a short drive to a larger town with plenty of restaurants and retail establishments.

I like Brookeville because it is a quiet town and it is very safe, there is never a time where I feel that I need more protection. Everyone is willing to help you out. One thing I would like to change is the lack of street lights and the pot hole ridden back roads.
Beautiful small town feel which was also the U.S. Capitol for a day! Lots of amazing spots to go fishing and kayaking. The perfect place to raise a family.
