I have lived in Bristol, Virginia my whole life. The town of Bristol is a small town with very little to do. There are many small businesses throughout the town and many opportunities for community service participation. The town does not offer may opportunities for nightlife, but the town is very kid friendly. Many families choose to visit our small bakeries and boutiques on state street. Bristol, VA is a great place to live. There are many amenities and lots of sites to see. If you have a dog, Sugar Hollow Park is the absolute best place for them to get some exercise and interact with other dogs and the dog park!
I have lived in many, many areas in the south west virginia area and Bristol has been my favorite city by far, the tennessee side and virginia side feel like a whole which adds so much more to the city. The city schools aren't the best but there are many great private schools and John S. Battle High School, which is where my kids go is a great public school, safest in the city with many opportunities.
