The town of Brighton is a great place to raise a family or retire to. You don't have to worry about the hustle and bustle of a big city or the crime rates. The schools are great and are within less than a mile of each other. If you want to go to the closet city its less than an hour away. Diversity at its best. The Naval base is about a 20 minute drive away so you have alot of different cultures living in one area. Because the base brings in alot of military families to the area the real estate market is fairly good. There are some manufacturing facilities in the surrounding area, but because it is a small town. You would have to go to the Memphis area to find higher paying jobs.

Brighton is more of a family/retirement town. If you want the nightlife Memphis is about 45 minutes south of Brighton.
    Review Brighton
I've been living here for over 10 years. I can attest that it is a quiet area, the type of community where everyone knows someone else that you know. The schools are comparable to private education, even with Brighton having the highest number of students of any other Tipton County School. The only downside is that there is one restaurant. If you want to go out to eat, the nearest areas are Atoka and Covington - each are about 10 minutes away. The closest major city is Memphis, which is about 30 minutes away and has a high crime rate.
Though I believe I am meant for a larger city, Brighton, Tennessee remains a wonderful place to live. The town itself maintains a small, rural vibe while at the same time being only a few minutes drive from larger and more urban areas. With its low crime rates, and consistently evolving education system, Brighton is an ideal place to raise and nurture one's family. Furthermore, the general population is both welcoming and helpful, allowing for a sense of community to be easily established. All in all, if it's a warm and comforting place in which to live and raise a family that you are looking for, then Brighton, Tennessee is the town for you.
