Bridgewater is a safe, comfortable, and diverse place to live. Many families of different cultures live here. The schools, (K-12) are nice, with very few problems. It is also close to a local community college (Raritan Valley Community College). There are many places to go for entertainment, for example the Bridgewater mall which has many restuarants with both indoors and outdoor seating, many popular stores, and an AMC dine-in movie theater. Bridgewater also has a sports Arena with ice skating, laser tag, and an arcade. There are many popular places and restaurant located in Bridgewater. I would recommend this town to anyone. The only negative thing I have to say about Bridgewater is the housing. Younger people who move out on their own will have a hard time living here. The prices for housing are expensive for singles and young adults (depending on the person).
I have loved living in Bridgewater, New Jersey since I was a child. In my experience, Bridgewater is a very friendly town with many delicious restaurants. After a day of hiking at Washington Valley park, you have the option to shop at the Bridgewater Commons Mall or take a trip to the town over, Somerville, and take a stroll downtown. As for dinner there are many restaurants near the mall including the Cheesecake factory, Redstone American Grill and California Pizza Kitchen. Right next to the mall, there is a shopping center named, "The Village", where you can enjoy Chipotle, Starbucks, Cava and Shake Shack or sit down for a nice, big italian dinner at Maggiano's. The options are endless. As for the school district, I can attest that the teachers are knowledgable on the topics they are teaching and that the environment students learn in is positive and safe. As for the area, I believe it is the perfect distance away from the beach and New York City.
Our new Mayor has brought on a Constituent Relations Team, which I find really helps the residents of my town feel more connected to local government. The new office created is a way to provide residents a transparent insight ranging from how we plan on paving all the roads within the next five years, to solving zoning or code issues they may be experiencing. Many a times a resident will get tossed along into a file within the municipality, forgotten about, most of the time to never be followed up with. I think that this new implication is standing out to a-lot of residents who's concerns are actually getting addressed this time around.
